Designers share insight on freelancing and independent design
Susan Snipes (Q Digital Studio), Amy Kenreich (Amy Kenreich Graphic Design) and Jenny McGee (Jenny McGee Graphic Design) gave a presentation at Westwood College today on best practices for independent designers. These three designers each run their own studios in Denver, Colorado. Discussion topics included contracts and pricing, building and managing client relationships, marketing and finding new clients.
The program was put together by graduate advisor Leah Moore, to help students get a better idea of professional design work and what freelancing entails. The audience included students and graduates in Westwood College’s Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Web Design, and Animation programs.
Westwood College was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1953 and offers career-focused education in high-demand technical fields.
