Susan Mowery Snipes is an award winning designer with an artistic sensibility perfected in web usability and sophisticated design. Educated in fine art and architecture, her work reflects a well-met combination of creative expression built on solid structure.
Susan's portfolio covers a full array of industries (technology, government, not-for-profit, small business), though her preferred interests are in putting the creative side of life online with web solutions for architects, interior designers, builders, planners and creative entrepreneurs.
Susan has worked as Creative Director, Director of Visuals, Art Director and Lead Web Designer at technology companies around the U.S. She has been active in the digital creative industry for over ten years and created her first piece for the Web (
a "Choose your own adventure" style story with illustrations) in 1996.
Susan finds it important to be involved in her community and has volunteered for organizations such as the
Boulder Fringe Festival,
The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and Colorado-based Local Source. She teaches as an adjunct faculty member at
Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver. An active member of
AIGA Colorado, she is currently on the board as Assistant to the President. She is involved in her online community as an editor for the
Open Directory Project.
